Promise

The broken promise
She made to him
To love him forever
Nothing but a whim

He was in sorrow
He loved her so
She pushed him away
And he watched her go

Her heart was broken
She missed him a lot
But he was over her now
The 'love' had stopped

He'd cried for months
She for days
Life was difficult
In many many ways

For the broken promise
She was to blame
But why did he love her?
And she the same?
